Chemical Equation

Q. What is Chemical Equation?

Chemical Equation:

The symbolic or short hand method of describing a chemical reaction is called Chemical Equation. In a chemical equation the symbols of substances reacting with each other are written on the left hand side, they are called Reactants and the compounds which are formed due to their reaction are written on the right hand side, they are called Products. An arrow between reactants and products represent the process of chemical reaction. Mostly single head arrow is used in chemical equations to show the process of reaction but sometimes a double headed arrow is also used between reactants and products, it shows that the reaction is a reversible reaction the reactants can become product and products can become reactant using the same process.
